Located in an unusual part-forested part-gravel pit site, this project extends the existing prominent road side building and builds a new teaching block amongst the trees.

The Hall extension provides new teaching space at ground level with new kitchens below.  The hall was previously rebuilt following destruction by Luftwaffe bombing, the dip it sits in thought to be part gravel pit, part crater. The extension balances a previous extension on the far side of the building.

The new teaching block provides modern space and facilities built with a sustainable palate of materials that will provide an economic yet light-touch building housed amongst the trees on site.
