Five years of honest, ambitious engineering? Nailed it.

Earlier this month, we had a party. We gathered for a celebratory tipple (or two) at the Founder’s Arms in London to toast five years of Bailiss & Co.

We were greeted with a stunning city backdrop and riverside views, and were joined by friends, clients, and collaborators who have all played a tremendous part in our journey to date. We ate cake (lots of it) and laughed a lot, but we also discussed new and exciting plans for the future.

Five years of passionate work is no mean feat, so the evening allowed us to pause from our day-to-day deadlines and reflect on how far we’ve come as a practice. During this time, our amazing team has restored historical landmarks, transformed previously unloved buildings, and given teaching spaces a new lease of life, all while keeping sustainability embedded into the structure of everything we do.

To everyone who has played a part in getting us where we are today: thank you.

As L.M. Montgomery famously said, “Looking forward to things is half the pleasure”. Here’s to many more years of honest, ambitious engineering and making buildings work brilliantly.
